Matt currently lives and trains in his hometown of Scarborough, Ontario. After obtaining a degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University he has returned home to focus on his athletic career through the Olympics in 2012. He comes from an Athletic family where his father, Steve, was an 800m(1:50) and 1500m(3:48) runner for the University of Toronto. His brother, Derek, and sister, Holly, attended the University of South Florida and Penn State University respectively, for Track and Soccer scholarships. He’s coached by Bill Stephens with Phoenix Athletics and is excited to be part of the T-Roller team.
